What players and reviewers say
On the DiMarzio D Sonic
“But, I just traded the D-Sonic (too thick and dark for me) in for a Steve's Special (hopefully a bit brighter and articulate)...”
“I wouldn't put the D Sonic in a baswood body cause basswood has tons of midrange and low end so your sound might turn to mud..”
On the DiMarzio Transition
“The Transition bridge has more high mids and less low end than the Air Zone, I wouldn't say it is bass heavy, but again, totally different guitar than you are asking about.”
“The PAF has more of a creamy midrange with just enough clarity up top while the Transition is a little hotter and more modern sounding.”
